History
FROM INDIVIDUAL PRODUCTION TO WORLDWIDE MAJOR PROJECT
The history of our innovative company located in the beautiful Bavarian landscape “Fichtelgebirge” started in a little work shop with the production of water fountains. In the course of the years we have grown to one of the market leader in our industry.
KaGo & Hammerschmidt has turned from a one man business to a medium-sized enterprise with currently approx. 30 employees.
The headquarters including management and administration as well as part of the production, is based in the village Schönbrunn, part of the community of Wunsiedel.
How it all started
1992 foundation as one-man company
1993 cooperation with Kai Hammerschmidt
1997 foundation of an oHG (~ general commercial partnership)
2001 first major project: exhibition stand for the Dominican Republic
2002 foundation of a GmbH (~private limited liability company) as a second company
2005 awarded with letter of commendation by the town of Wunsiedel
2008 awarded with the „Mittelstandslöwe“ in the category „product innovation”
2009 merger of the oHG and the GmbH and elimination of the oHG
2010 awarded with the “Mittelstandslöwe” in the category “reader´s prize”
2012 presentation of the innovation Climbing Rocks
2012 formation of the SINNflut-cooperation
2013 certification DIN EN ISO 9001:2008
2013 taking in of the sitting and relaxing rocks in our product portfolio
2015 completion of one of the most exciting projects in the company´s history: Chester Zoo, England
2017 25th anniversary
2018 trademark application: Rock it®
2020: Investment in machinery: state-of-the-artCNC hot-wire cutting machines, CNC milling and coating technology for fully automatic production of stucco and façade elements, among others.
